Dock is not for making it focus any better, it is used for software updates and focus parameters. I have it and use it on my favorite lens 120-300 2.8 S. And I also have the Canon 300 2.8

It's way to bad Sigma requires a Docking System to make their lenses work properly.
My Tamron 150-600mm works perfectly out of the box on my Nikon D800E.

You make it sound as though adjusting focus is not the primary reason to purchase the dock. I guess that means you think updating firmware is more important. Geesus. Sometimes the idiocy of posters surprises even me. If you think that is "smart assed" then so be it.

Every lens/camera combo I have tested - the AF was OFF and needed adjustment - this includes Canon, Sigma, and Sony !
