More Eagle photos. I'm not sure which is better. Both photos are the same but the first one is with only slight change to exposure. The second is with a little more PP. Please give comments on which everyone prefers. Photo taken with Nikon D7100, Tamron 150-600 at 320 mm, ISO 100, 1/1000, f/7.1. Both photos cropped.

#1, much sharper and richer in DL!!!

I like #1 because of the bluer sky and less branches to cause a distraction.

I like #2...I think the blue sky could be amplified in LR or PS alittle if you want the sky alittle bluer like the first one. Just a thought.

In ACR I can add a little to the sky to darken it and add the blue. Thanks for the thought.

Thanks Mike! This is me playing to learn.:) I would also like to put your picture in my carving file if you don't mind. Some day I will find the piece of wood it is in.:)

If you get it carved, that would be something to see.

Dumb Question: What is meant by PP in the first post?

I'm pretty sure it's "post processing", kfoo. I don't know how to do it but people on here can do amazing things with their photos! Hope that helps.

Both are good, but I much prefer the first one. I think the colors are richer, and I like the fact that there is less of the tree showing. I find the additional branches in the second shot somewhat distracting and lessens the importance of the bird as the main focus point.
However, if I had not seen the first image, I would have thought the second was pretty darned good.
