Rx scam
the guy in the drug store really had a brass pair... I had added up the total mentally and
questioned him on the amount.. He held up a jar marked "$27 you pay $24" and had
the balls to cover up the "you pay $24" with his finger...
Gives an insite of what a foreiner thinks of us and our trusting society. Most other countries are really really crooked compared to the USA... I hope he goes out of business and goes back
to whatever sewer he came here from... or moves to Oregon.

I doubt he will move to Oregon as we recently sent him to NY. Figured he would be much more comfortable around people of his own kind than in Oregon. Seems to have worked out quite well. There are scammers in every state but nothing can or will be done to correct said if people do not inform others of what and where and by whom the scam is taking place.

I wondered for a long time if prices were different at the register when I shopped at Wal Mart. The final bill always seemed much higher than I anticipated. One night I took a close look at the receipt, went back into the store to check. I noticed sox were marked $2.00 on the sign, but rung up at $6.00. I pointed this out to the woman in the department. She said the price was correctly marked. However, the price was on a sticker up under a small shelf. You had to get down on your knees to see it.

At Walmart, if you ever notice that, you take the register tape and the merchandise back to the store and show them. (Sometimes, this is a matter of the department didn't get the new price labels up and other times it is a mistake in the system didn't get the price change. Walmart will ALWAYS fix it and they do (in most cases) appreciate it being pointed out. NOTE: you need to do it soon because the department workers may have been in the act of changing labels. This is especially true on 24 hour stores. When all else fails, you can always call 1800 Walmart. That almost always comes down on the side of the caller. Also, Walmart requires that if you are in a checkout line in the front (main) registers and there are more than 3 or 4 people in line, the store is required to open enough more registers to get the lines down. This can mean that the management staff has to open registers. (note: during Christmas and major rushes like Black Friday, all of the registers and self checkouts may be open and backed up so there is nothing more that the store can do.) I drive the manager of the local neighborhood market that is 3 blocks from my house nuts because she or her people will do something stupid and I am ungracious enough to point it out to her in front of the customer that she was not treating according to Walmart rules.

Also, if you pointed out the sticker on the shelf as being different, the employee is REQUIRED by Walmart to take the label to the register and override the price. There are no exceptions.

You can get anywhere from anyplace as all our towns are similar, diversity is a word a lot of people use to describe their area of living. Diversity is a very good thing when not carried to the wrong extremes.

Mandate cc failed, is that in reference to carbon copy or concealed carry? I cc daily but my cc is remiss with senility recently. This old age crap ain't what I thought it was going to be. I'm getting to where I don't much care for retirement, could be because retirement and retardment are words so close to each other.

I know what you mean as the VA has me on high blood pressure meds after a stroke so the only thing that gets hard any more are my arteries. Not counting the ones going to my cranial cavity of course. ;) ;)

No restaurant name then your post has absolutely no value.

To name a retuarant with which the argument could be debatable could invite a damage lawsuit, so I understand OPs reluctance to name.

I always count my change before leaving the cash register area. Never been short changed, but have been given too much back. And, yes, I did give the excess amount back.

Nearly all cell phones have a camera. If there is a problem, take a photo. If it goes to BBB or Consumer affairs, a photo trumps "he said/she said. " Managers seldom want to pursue the issue if there are pictures.

   Great answer. My momma always told me, "Discretion is always the better part of valor." When ever I buy gift cards I ALWAYS keep the receipts just in case there is a problem with the cards down the road.

I remember going thru a D&D drive thru and the amount came to $2.11, so I handed the cashier $2.26 in order to get 15 cents back. She immediately returned my penny to me and proceeded to ring in $2.25. I tried to get her to see her mistake and even the supervisor believed that I was trying to scam them somehow. Go figure.

Just like when I ask for a medium black coffee they ask 'do you want cream and sugar with that?'.

I could go on......
