Well, I did wait long enough to get a great deal on a 810.

Sorry but this a rumor like everything else (810s). As long as nothing comes out in one of the trade-show don't even droll, you will be dead and desiccated when something (else) comes out.

"...don't even droll..." Geesus.

Sounds interesting enough but, I think I'll wait until the 860 comes out and the price of the 850 drops. I'm pretty happy with my 810  :D

Me too. I don't even have the 810 broken in yet!

me like! :D :D :D

Oh, no! You mean Nikon is introducing new models?! I thought I was all set with the D750. Now I'll have to apply for a new credit card with a healthy limit. :D

Seriously, I like the D750 so much that I have no plans for upgrading, not even to the D760.

Nikon is going to have a naming problem in a few years. The D7xx is catching up to the D8xx. That's not even considering their previous D700 camera.

A bit negative for no reason.

And 4 years from now they will be selling 100 mp cameras. You will be able to see the date on a dime from a mile away probably. I have a Canon 5dmk3 and am having a hard time doing anything upgrade wise. If want to crop pictures, blow them up, start with a zoom lens.

But that said, I still want more/better.

If you have a good camera and lenses. There is no need to want. It is not the equipment that matters so much as for the skills of the photographer. Getting the shot is all about composition and light.

I think I would make use of the tilt screen.

Seriously, how many more pixels do we need for the type of everyday and professional pictures that we take. I have a D750 and it is outstanding with its resolution and features. In addition, the pixel count is not filling up my 3GB hard drive any time soon. My understanding is that unless you are doing billboard size work you are not going to glean much more out of a 50mp camera. And whether it is a pro or prosumer camera it's all about the sensor and the glass. The D750 and D810 is tops IMHO.
So, having said all that, I am going to take my old Brownie Hawkeye out and see if I can improve on my photography....
