Thanks Bob. If there's not room for better, I hope I can come up to this level several more times before I kick the bucket.

Nicely done by you both
Thanks Photog. I thoroughly enjoy working with other phtographers here to create something new.
Bob, you ruined my day. I planned to go take pictures, shop and read.
I got the bug to do a B&W conversion myself and haven't left the house at all.
Posted a B&W of the full frame of this bird flaring out to land. In two versions.
http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-353030-1.htmlDid dig out some CDs I burned of misc favorites back in 2002 when I listened to a lot of music and talk radio commuting 44 miles each way daily. Right now I am listening to a collection of "Twisted Christmas" songs.

Well, if I come knocking again, you can just say "No."
This one differs from your other post because I never took it into LR. I used PS CC 2015's RAW converter capability, tweaked in NIK Viveza and Piccure +, then converted to B&W in NIK Silver Efex. Thereafter I added layers in Smart Photo Editor, NIK Color Effex, On1 Photo 10's Perfect Effects, and did the final touches with PS CC 2015's Camera Raw Filter with some dodging and burning.
I like this a lot, Bob. Perfect job with the conversion! A beautiful image.

Thanks Randy. Who knew? This one had elements in it that surprised even me. While I guided it along, it unfolded in a way that became truly amazing.

This collaboration came about because I was musing in another topic about what kind of bird would look good in black and white. Jerry suggested an egret or any other white bird, and offered to send me an original photo to experiment with. This is the result
Now that is something special Bob, really good pp work on this one
Is your middle name Ansel
Very beautiful, Bob and I'm not usually a fan of black and white.

Well done. These birds are so white it is very difficult to get the texture of their feathers and you've accomplished this nicely.

Bob, this is a wonderful photo and it should win a contest somewhere.

I like it. Nicely done. I think what supports the B & W conversion, and the photo of the egret as well is what is going on with the water. Otherwise, just another egret picture. Now, this is a special egret. I'm impressed!

Thanks simon. I've checked my family tree (I actually have one that is fairly extensive on both my father's and mother's side of the family), but there are no "Ansels" in the group (although we do have a few Asmussens).
