Sorry, I couldn't make it to the end of this one. Made me too queasy just watching it. There isn't enough money in the world to get me up there.

In my hay day I pulled up a 5 element beam at the top of a 60 foot Rohn 25 tower by myself.

Never be able to do that again.

In 1975 I knew the man who had to climb a 300 ft tower to replace a bulb on the top when it burned out. He got $200 per climb. I would like to know how much these guys get. I wouldn't want to do this climb.

I'm thinking "telescopic tilting antennas." A way to bring the light closer to you. I suppose they are going to LED lights so the climbs are less frequent.

I would hope so. LED's would save a lot. Not good for the climbers.

Made it to the end. Will my knees recover enough to get out of my chair and stand?

I thought it was funny when he said there was "no quick way down". :D

The guy lied - he said there was no quick way down. Let go and see how long it takes to taste terra firma. SECONDS!
