The majority in all countries is almost always struggling to "subjugate or eradicate the crazies." I would say that we have the same problem in the US, and are failing here to reign in "the crazies."

Saudi Arabia is a major source of training and funding for extremists. The majority there live under a brutal feudal dictatorship, and have no power to be subjugating or eradicating anyone, and the alliance by our own country with that dictatorship serves the needs of those in power here while keeping the tyrants in power there. The majority of people in the world have little power or say.

Why don't those of us who are responsible gun owners in the US "subjugate or eradicate the crazies" using guns to shoot up school children?

Mike - your analogies are not realistic. Look at the numbers. HOW many American in the USA are gathered up, held, and beheaded on camera? Sure, we have crime here. But what we DO NOT have is a theology which aspire to hasten the end of the world. The few times we have had those tiny numbered minorities - the govt. has in fact stepped in ( right or wrong..) David Koresh, The Freemen, - you name 'em.
Secondly - 96% of all of the mass shootings that have occurred in the last 10 years have been in "gun free zones". It does not require a degree from Harvard to figure out that when bad guys/crazies know that all of us that are law abiding citizens cannot have arms in an area - it encourages their chicken shit gene which kicks in- and they exercise maximum cowardice by slaughtering innocents. SO - are we to blame for that too? Our govt. has quietly been stripping funding from mental healthcare - and this I know even at the local level in talking with the doctors and nurses that we work with. I see the numbers. I see the ER staff now having to cover the mental ER ward as well - as hospital corporations are laying off the psych. ER nursing staff.
Yes - I agree we still have far too much in these kinds of crimes. SO, I ask you WHY that should mean that we give a wider birth and excuses for foreign nationals to kill our people. That would be the gist of your argument?

Why move it? I and a couple of others have been successively subverting it with completely unrelated B.S. and picking at one another in order to distract from what started as an ugliness about a topic that really could not - and should not be here at all. It only served to divide folks along the lines of either supporting labor or management in what should have been a private issue to settle between them - THEN we could decide - if it was a real issue, if it mattered, or whether we should even think about it again....

But it has been fun providing cheap entertainment.
