It is very hard for a Muslim company not to be biased against Jews/Jewish firms. Their theology says so. I have lot of Muslim friends from my childhood. I have found that their allegiance always go with the Muslim countries and they call Israel, pariah. Thanks to the PC of AlGore, Aljazeera go a foot hold in the US media world. Anyway, B&H has good prices and fast service. I am afraid, if it would be lost in this upheaval.
I agree, but it is also hard for Israeli publications not to be biased against Palestinians. There are usually valid viewpoints on all sides of a discussion, except for some the most offensive and blatantly extremist or racist commentary such as one such comment on this forum.
I fully expect B&H to deal with this issue, if any such problems do exist, it is in their interest to do so. The manner in which they do so will speak volumes about the company, which is why some of us wish to pay attention, not because we have any prejudice against B&H, its owners or other respectable companies from Jewish or other communities.
Before we criticize a bias that may be held by a news outlet that serves the Arabic and Muslim community as well as others, we might want to look at some of the extreme bias and intolerant attitudes that are expressed by some of our own Christian-oriented media outlets.
So far, Al Jazeera seems to be a respectable news organization to me, even if it does represent the sentiments of other cultures.

Sadly, Al Jazeera America is not known for either accurate or reliable reporting. One can expect a union wanting to gain a foothold to say whatever it thinks needs to be said. I used to belong to the country's largest union, and I have some experience with this. A court will probably have to decide. Fortunately for B&H, most of their business is from the internet, and there's plenty of people who want to work and earn a paycheck, so those who quit will be replaced fairly quickly.
Aside from being able to say that for all "news" outlets; what negative specifics can you bring to light about Al Jazeera America? My impression is that their reporting is far less tainted and more reliably accurate than all other corporate giant news outlets in the U.S..

Agreed......I'm amazed at the constant stream of intolerant, narrow and one-sided crap I hear on the NBC outlets (especially MSNBC).

I do, although I don't have cable or satellite, so can't check out some of those other channels, except when I am traveling.
I have seen a huge change in CNN over that last twenty something years, and much of it has not been positive, although there are some that still seem to do excellent work.
I think Candy Crowley's execrable performance in the Romney - Obama debate pretty much sums up CNN

Yep, you sure have. The views you are expressing are potentially as extreme and judgmental as some others that behave badly on this planet.
Lets be clear. ISIS, ISIL or whatever we wish to call it is not representative of most Arabs or Muslims. They are an abhorrent bunch of extremists to most human beings. Like some African warlords, and just like some white Christian supremacists who think it is not only acceptable but necessary to murder innocent people in a church. Hitler was not representative of most Germans, and certainly not of today's German culture. The Israelis are not beyond reproach in their treatment of Palestinians, and the Israelis are not representative of all Jewish people.
There are more than a few people in the US that would be happy to secceed from Texas, and give it back to Mexico.
It really is time to tone down some of this rhetoric unless we just wish to escalate the situation and exacerbate an already difficult situation.
Many Christians have spoken against past Christian atrocities.
Does a single Muslim in the US have stood against Muslim atrocities angst other minorities?
Does Aljazeera talk angst Palestinian violence?
Does Aljazeera talk angst who run scam operations in the US?
Does Aljazeera speak of the hate (angst the Jews taught in the Palastenian Schools.
Their silence on all the above put them incapable of accusing something on B& H.
They know the PC culture we have; they take full advantage of it to foster their indirect targets.

I understand your point. I also will pretend that these things never happened. Good luck.

When has any muslim spoken out against ISIS, Hezbola or any other muslim group? Do I hear crickets? That is what I thought. Silence is the absolute and complete support of violence as these groups do. Besides the whole muslim cult treats all women as property. Thought that went out with the Civil War?

Well that shows your position very clearly. Not one that is unbiased, but very clearly polarized. Which makes it about as valid as the opinions expressed in media outlets that represent other cultures.

Actually they do, but some have to do it carefully, and do so in private trusted situations. Once again, this is a very stereotyped view of Islamic culture and Muslims. Although the treatment of women in many Islamic cultures is an extreme problem, treating women as property is not limited to Islamic culture, not is it representative of all Muslims. It is a problem in the US and in certain Christian sects also.
These extreme viewpoints held by certain people in the US do nothing to actually help the situation. I'm sorry to hear this attitude from you, I thought you were better than that.

There was a very offensive and antisemitic comment posted earlier in the thread that many consider totally unacceptable and inexcusable. It was also semi illiterate. I think Helen's reaction is understandable.
Read the Parallel English Quran and see if you have the same attitude or the Definition of Infidel from Winnipeg and see if you have the same attitude.
