I buy a new Lenovo every time I buy a new camera, about every two years. I buy the cheapest one I can find new. Use Elements to edit, never had a problem, if I did, they have excellent customer support. I give the old ones to local school system after their tech guy cleans mine up. Not really anything on it anyway.

You buy a new camera AND a new computer every TWO YEARS??? Wow! And good to know Lenovo is your choice. Good to know about the customer support, too. Thanks!

I am considering the purchase of a Lenovo Flex 3, 14", I7 laptop 2 in 1 with Windows 10 on it. Does anyone have experience with it? I spent some time at the Microsoft store at the mall today and was impressed by that one. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. ~Donna

Like my advice on a camera I would go to a retailer that had one on display, and play with it, relatively new thought for me considering the bloatware that comes on a computer I'd check the Microsoft store offerings, supposedly zero bloatware.

I have a Lenovo less than a year old. It has weak and defective hinges which broke. Many reviews state they had the same problem. Lenovo doesn't warrant them. Mine did not happen from abuse. The hinges are just not made well. I will never buy another one. I also happen to work in the computer industry for over 25 years.

I just got a lenova laptop off Amazon. $999 laptop on sale very reasonable. That will cure me! I tied a new Dell several month's ago also. Wouldn't work right out of the box and Dell customer service said I needed to buy their warranty extension to get it fixed. That is two computer brands I would not even consider for landfill again!

Your post confuses me. You said nothing negative about the Lenova, did say something negative about the Dell but then said about TWO computer brands you wouldn't consider for landfill.

I did hear about the hinge problem but believe that's been addressed on the new ones. Don't blame you for being upset.

Really? I didn't know that and the salesman did not mention. Isn't the "bloatware" relatively easy to remove though? I like Costco's return policy since it appears that you either get a great Lenovo or a lemon. With Costco I could use for almost 3 months and return if any issues.

The last time I bought Lenovo laptops they came with a trackpad that was hard to get used to. It had a relatively long/deep click so the entire pad could move. That was my only real gripe but a big one for me

I wouldn't like that either but don't think that's an issue any more. Thanks.

I've gotten rid of the most obvious on my machines but some is probably still there, some things sound like they might be required, and as I'm not a Costco member I did not know about their return policy, that is a consideration, I don't think BJ's (where we are members) is that generous.

I'm sorry, your right. The lenova I got had Windows 7 Pro in it, that's why I bought it. It was so unbelievably slow I could not believe it. I should stick to my $300 laptops. seem's they always work. The Dell and Lenova are the only two I've spent more than a few hundred dollars on. I got that Lenova just because of the Win 7 Pro. Everything looked familiar but nothing worked the same day you fed it in! more disappointing than the Dell!

Thanks for the clarification. The Lenovo I'm considering would have Windows 10 pre-installed.

I'm a member of BJ's too. Costco's return policy is for life for everything but electronics. Electronics are 3 months unless it's changed since I checked. Electronics used to be for life, too. Unfortunately I've witnessed people take ridiculous advantage of it - ie returning Christmas trees AFTER using them for the season, etc, etc. Hurts all of us.

Very good to know, larimarpugs. Thanks. I had heard the Lenovo name before but never in conjunction with computers until yesterday. And then I saw that Costco.com had one, too, so I started researching. There are some with negatives, of course, but many raving reviews and the salesman at the Microsoft store was very positive about them without trying to sell me anything.

Many years ago IBM sold their PC business to Lenovo. They make excellent laptops and specialize in making great ultra portable ones. At home we have 2 - X1 carbons and 2 yoga2 pros and they all work great. Among other makes we also have 2 HP's and a Toshiba and 3 macbook pros and a macbook air and a Dell and Mac desktops. The lenovo's are lighter than the macbook air and is the one I carry while traveling.

I am using a Lenovo Thinkpad T430 right now. IBM sold its personal computer arm to Lenovo. The largest beer company in the world, who is about to make a $104 Billion offer for the second largest beer company has standardized on Lenovo PC's and laptops. They seem to hold up pretty well.
