I am considering the purchase of a Lenovo Flex 3, 14", I7 laptop 2 in 1 with Windows 10 on it. Does anyone have experience with it? I spent some time at the Microsoft store at the mall today and was impressed by that one. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. ~Donna

Light editing (mostly culling) while watching TV. I shoot sports and events for yearbook company and often have 1000 images a night to cull thru and it gets old to do all that stuck in my office. I thought it would be nice to do that in front of the TV.

I also want to have a laptop to take on site when I have jobs like the golf tournament I just did. And sometimes it would be nice to shoot tethered.

I want to have at least LR on it and possibly PS as well but that's not a necessity.

I plan to take the computer for making presentations and doing signups for my health/wellness business as well - it at coffee shops - so would need good wifi capabilities.

Thanks!

The last time I bought Lenovo laptops they came with a trackpad that was hard to get used to. It had a relatively long/deep click so the entire pad could move. That was my only real gripe but a big one for me

I had a Lenovo and hated it. Too much silly, needless Lenovo software on it. Then slow performance and constant difficulty getting connected wirelessly to the internet. Luckily it finally died of hard drive failure near the third year and I bought a Mac that has worked flawlessly.

Love my Dell laptop 7000 series. Since Dec 2014, no problems. If I was younger, might have also considered a Mac, but had a desk Dell that served me well for 8 years.

Well, I'm not switching to Mac since my main PC will still be my main PC - a Dell All in One that's only a year old. The one I'm considering is at Costco and with their liberal return policy I just might take the plunge. It's only $699 on sale right now. The one I saw at the Microsoft store was very nice. Of course I wasn't trying to be productive - just looking at it. The sales guy was very informative and didn't try to push me in the least. I asked if they'd had any problems and he said only that some people can't figure out how to get the backlighting on the keys to work. He then showed me how. Not that I'll remember if I do purchase that one. Ha!

Have no experience with that particular Lenovo, but have a Lenovo Idea Pad - 15"( I think)....have not had a peep of trouble with it - have had it for 4 or 5 years -- Have photoshop loaded on it as well as several other programs. Am considering updating but was told that after the first of the year Lenovo is coming out with a new model so I am holding off till then.

I recommend a Pentium Processor, no matter what laptop you purchase.

I am reading this on my Flex 2 15, and I am quite pleased with the computer itself. I also have a Yoga 2 11 which I use in place of what I would do with an iPad.

I buy a new Lenovo every time I buy a new camera, about every two years. I buy the cheapest one I can find new. Use Elements to edit, never had a problem, if I did, they have excellent customer support. I give the old ones to local school system after their tech guy cleans mine up. Not really anything on it anyway.

Very good to know, larimarpugs. Thanks. I had heard the Lenovo name before but never in conjunction with computers until yesterday. And then I saw that Costco.com had one, too, so I started researching. There are some with negatives, of course, but many raving reviews and the salesman at the Microsoft store was very positive about them without trying to sell me anything.

Cool! This one is similar to a yoga in that it folds all the way back to become a tablet.
