I use a sony a6000 with same type of pullout screen and if you like to get down low instead of having to lie down on your stomach you just kneel down pullout the screen and focus you, might have to go to live view.
The screen doesn't get in the way

It's great. I use mine for low angle 'looking up' shots. Beats the hell out of lying on the ground. :-)

The tilt screen is handy for low-angle shots ... not so sure about critical focusing, though.

I used it on the 5100 and it had place as mentioned. I'm sure the 750 is the same. As far as critical focusing, was the same as the using a non articulating LCD's. Neither being that good as looking through view finder. Okay for composition though.

I love it.
My previous cameras did not have it
and I didn't miss it really.
But when you have it available, it is
amazing.
Shooting from all directions are possible now.

But frankly speaking, for really professional
usage I have my doubts.

It looks a little bit fragile. May be this is
the reason, why all high price professional
work horses don't have it......

Its no good for sports shots with live view but helps to frame a low level shot before tucking it away. It doesn't impact normal usage though.

Gee, if it gets in the way do you think about folding it back out of the way?????????????

I use mine to shoot from a very low angle, I set the camera nearly on the ground and fold out the LCD to see what the camera is seeing. I also hold the camera over my head to take from a high angle angling the screen in the opposite direction. But, as I said earlier, if it gets in the way, you can simply fold it back. I am sure you also know the D750 is not weather sealed because of this fold out screen.

It doesn't get in the way. Not a fan of Live view, but for low angle shots it is handy -- saves wear and tear on the knees. I imagine it would be very good shooting over a crowd -- not many of those near here.

BTW A couple of quotes from Photo sites

DP review
Environmentally sealed Yes (Water and dust resistant)

D750 org
The Nikon D750 features weather sealing gaskets throughout its construction. The level of moisture and dust resistance is equal to that of professional Nikon cameras.

Photography Blog
the D750 boasts the exact same level of weatherproofing as the D810.

Not something I care to put to the test.

Thank you everyone I will consider all the advice.. not too worried about weather sealing as I am not in the rain too often..
just was wondering about the pull out LCD.. if it useful for low level shooting it might be worth it.. but will have to test it out to know for sure.. anyway.. thank you everyone..

I LOVE it!!!! I wouldn't have it any other way. it NEVER gets in the way. When it is not flipped out it stays firmly in place. I see NO down side.

I never use live view and I never do video. To me it is a gimmick that I would prefer not to have. But then, again, though I love my D750's performance, I would have preferred that it have the D700/D800 style body and button layout that I was so used to.

Just think if they (the manufactures ) satisfied everyone's preferences, all those bodies to choose from, oh my! :)

Don't use the flip out often but it does add some versatility. Nice for catching the ocean lapping up on the sand and not having to get on my stomach. Just do all my settings using the viewfinder, then use the screen to compose. Also helpful on my nearly 60 year old back when shooting upward while its on a tripod.

Very useful for reasons mentioned by others. I use it mostly when camera is mounted on tripod and in Live View. Can adjust to get glare-free view and adjust to see LCD when sitting with tripod higher. Used this way a lot with recent Super Moon shooting.
I miss the articulated shifting LCD on the D5100.
