Any opinions on the LR Creative Cloud update that came out a couple days ago?
Note: I'm not interested in opinions on the merits of the CC, I'm interested in knowing if anyone has tried the latest update and if so, what they think of it.
Thank you.

I got the updates and now have problems, LR freezes, loads some images very slowly. Often becomes unresponsive and needs to be closed and reopened. Is it the upgrade or something else, I don't know.
I am also a bit put out by the changes in the controls and interface. Things have been changed and moved around to the point that I have to hunt to find how to do many things. Often basic things.
I am going to give it a while before I contact adobe to give them a few days to put out fixes on their own.

Hmmm. I got an email from Phill Steele saying something similar and warning not to upgrade. Unfortunately I already did.
I guess Adobe is copying Apple's Photos, now Photo, escapades.
This happened while I was typing this reply.

Been watching this.... Sounds like real trouble for Adobe.

Smart man. Do not update... yet.
It will be interesting to see how they respond to this software maelstrom.
Appears to be affecting the Mac people that upgraded to el crapitan. Adobe is aware of it. Something you might try if you have a Mac is turn off the new add photo screen.

I comply on both counts. I will try turning off the new Add Photo Screen (whatever that is). I will report results.
Thank you for that tip.
In all honestly, if LR ceased to exist, I would not be all that put out. Why? Because I was an Aperture user since Ver 1.0, and when Apple announced they were discontinuing support, I had a LOT of work to do. I vowed to re-structure my organizational work flow so as to be independent of any photo organizational/editing programs. And I have been successful in that goal. I guess I should thank Apple ? (Yet 2 major OS releases after that announcement, Aperture still works fine. Not sure if I should be happy or mad about that?)
I could restore the prior version of LR from backup, but I'm inclined at this point to wait and see how Adobe responds to this mess they have created.
Turning OFF Add Photo Screen

Then my Win 10 Pro gamer (no, I don't game) must think it is a Mac. Maybe a shrink can help it with this identity crisis.
Problems are with the CC version. The stand alone LR6 I have on a laptop is OK, as of yesterday, I better check it. But the controls and buttons don't seem to be changed like the CC version was.
I guess if I have to I can have Acronis restore the old version to the way it was last week.
What is the number (version)of this new update? I would like to know what not to update.
My updated lightroom keeps closing. It isn't any one thing I do with it. Might ry to export a photo or just change from library to some other mode and it just closes
I have updated and have had no problems at all, running PC with windows 10

The latest one released a couple days ago.
So whatever number you have that is not working, it is above that.

DOH! The plot thickens!
Shrinks are expensive!
Thanks for that Info.
It would seem that it there are problems with the latest CC update that transcend platform.

The latest one.
Well, I guess I'll wait a while for the issue to get sorted out and not update "anything":|
