Thanks, bro, Those three pix and a few others were taken one month ago today. The day on which Willow became a part of our little family. Not as fierce as your lions or as scary as your elephant. I will post a few of those later on. Willow has been a smashing hit today with the ladies.

No thanks necessary. Willow is our reward. If it were within my power, I would adopt many more. Sadly, I am not able to do so. BTW, nice ride in the :-) lil'pic. If that is yours, I am insanely envious.

Thank you, Dragonswing. I can not conceive of anyone taking such a young and innocent life. Willow is a sweetie. She has lived with us now for one month and is beginning to have us reasonably well trained to comply with her wishes. She is my favorite model. I have dozens of pix of her. Now she is demanding more toys and more treats. Oh, how soon they forget.

If she wants more toys you can easily make her a frisbee by cutting two circles of sherpa fabric. I trace around a dinner plate. Just sew the two pieces leaving a space to turn the fabric and hand stitch. Stuffing is not needed. Throws great and it can be used indoors. You can also make her a dogbone fabric placemate with a pocket for a doggy treat. Lots of cute toys you can make.

My name is Willow and I was only recently adopted after being bailed out of a dog pound where I had been sentenced to die. This was my first day with my new mom and dad.

God bless you ! she looks like a real sweetie.

Thank you dragonswing in the keystone state. Willow's adopted mom is an excellent seamstress. I will turn this one over to her.

Thank you, sir. Willow has brought us old folks much pleasure in the month she has lived with us. I admire your facial adornment. If I were to allow mine to grow, it would be the same in color, if not so stylish.

Thank you for the compliment on the beard its a bit scraggly now.
Is Willow your first dog? She looks like she is a blast.
I have had so many over the years, some of which were fantastic but all were great companions, it gets harder lose them as I get older. Will be 76 in October. Lost my Wife the April 2, 2015 and Buttons a week later, both to cancer, didn't have a clue the little guy was sick, I think his mission was to comfort Ruthie.

I will be 81 on October 11th. I have photos of myself back to 1939 with my dogs. Not all of them, by any means, but some. And, I remember dogs back to age three (1937) when I had my first dog bite. I have had four in my lifetime, one of them entailing a tetanus shot and fourteen rabies shots, but that's a long story. My previous dog - before Willow - had to be put down in 1993. She was deaf, blind and riddled with cancer. She had been my constant companion for more than sixteen years. The only way, I could tolerate it was to think and believe that she loved me enough that had our roles been reversed, she would have done the same for me. I have mourned her death for 22 years. I s'pose the time had come to find a "substitute" for her because there can be no replacement. I'm certain your precious dog was a great comfort to your Ruthie. My Susan and I are well past our 61st anniversary, now. I hope to find time to put together a few more pics of Willow for Part Two of her story. She has been with us for one month. Thank you for sharing the story of your wife and dog with me.
