Must be prime drone country Newton Ill. or maybe the same drone. Were they camera equipped? Have you counted the number of planes that have flown over head of those places too? Were they camera equipped?

He doesn't have a gun..... My comment was to show how silly it is to put drones, etc. into the air and over private property where there might be a person who could be traumatized by it...

Of Course His Father (my son) lives across the street from him and he Does have Guns.......Soooooooo

Also.. DRONE CRASHES IN STADIUM.... http://espn.go.com/tennis/usopen15/story/_/id/13577411/drone-enters-louis-armstrong-stadium-crashes-empty-seats-match

Showing a drone on TV could also traumatize some one. What about all the shoot em-ups on TV that could cause Trauma. Does he own a TV?

By the way the drones flown in war torn areas have been strictly on the USA side. So why would that set him off?

Do you realize how stupid your comments such as this are? The problem with PTSD is that for better or worse.... MANY things can cause some one suffering with it Trauma... When this young Man returned home from his 3rd tour in Iraq, He would hide in a closet when there was a bad Thunder Storm. He is finally weaning himself from "NEWS" programs, but was addicted to them and for at least a year after he returned home, He would cry when he saw pictures on a news program of Dead Soldiers and Civilians,

So you see, you make your silly ass comments and (Unless you are personally acquainted or have suffered yourself) you know absolutely nothing about the problem. When you have a child or GrandChild with the problem who has tried to Kill themselves more than once, has fought those that tried to help them and who, for a time, probably would have killed (and did threaten to do so) Me or his wife and children....Keep your little arguments for YOUR hobby,,,, don't bother posting on the subject again..

Quote:"don't bother posting on the subject again.." Oh I must apologise to you. I forgot you were King and the ruler of others and controlled this sight, and must have the last word.

You plight with a PTSD is not your alone. But I do believe that it is over used. I believe that between 50-70% of people in the service are in the support role to those on the front line. Those that never have an incident of combat yet they too are claiming PTSD.

I have a brother, and brother in law killed by VN war. I grew up with 'that' brother in law too. I presently have another brother in law, that was best friends with my brother, in hospice right now from unknown contamination in the military and served in VN. I also have other brother in laws with military disabilities from service to this country. I presently am 100% disabled through the VA because of military service. Not PTSD. I did serve on the front line in combat roll in Viet Nam including the period during the TET offensive. I had sniper bullets strike trees next to my head, automatic fire rake the ground in front of my knees. I was in at least 2 ambushes on the wrong side. I turned down 2 purple hearts because I wasn't hurt that bad. But yet I did get hit with enemy fire. I had shrapnel lodged in the back of my helmet, but the helmet stopped it.

So you crying I don't know and wait till I have someone- is BS on your part. Shouldn't rant off at the mouth unless you know what you are talking about.

Two things... Didn't I say...IF YOU HAVE NO EXPERIENCE (words to that effect) NOT THAT YOU DIDN"T KNOW... THAT Comment is exactly what the problem with comments on here... YOU obviously read what I wrote... but you accuse me of saying something I did not say.... Rant on my all you want, but at least have your facts straight.....
Since you have had those experiences, why would you write the crap that you do..... You should know that those Problems are not comical and can be life threatening...

IF I was the King, I would have the power to see that you didn't post such horse manure again... BUT since I am not, I can say basically what I please...... As you have here....

Next time you want to make such comments, think about your Relatives
and Friends and how they have suffered with PTSD and other ailments resulting from the war probably and/or other causes....

All because you got mad at those that were saying something about your saying that Basically you would fly it where ever you wanted...

Yes, I do want to be able to fly it wherever I want.

Where do I want to fly it?

1 Where it can not do physical harm to a person or property.
2 Where it can do a useful service to myself or others.

Examples of useful services: photograph houses for real estate agents, or sellers; Photograph beautiful locations as part of presentations I do for Nursing homes and senior centers or galleries; Explore a Farmer's fields for problems in growing crops; Photograph the roofs of buildings so owners can assess the need for expensive roof repairs;

I am presently prevented from doing or partially doing any of the above by several Federal, and local laws. And people on this forum want yet more laws enacted that will be ineffective and not deter crazys but will further impact my ability to carry out my wishes.

As I have said above, rather than, for example, a blanket outlawing of quadcopter use in National Parks as there is now, have a registration system: where and when I will fly. There can be a maximum number flying in any given area. and other reasonable restrictions such as weather, crowding, animal harassment, etc. Perhaps even have the registrant watch a short video on safety, politeness, etc.

But instead of reasonable such suggestions, all I have heard is about the justification for shooting one down, which can be very dangerous to those below, and destroys property, the very things the posters claim to worry about, and further blanket restrictions on flying anywhere the poster doesn't like.

Quote: Didn't I say...IF YOU HAVE NO EXPERIENCE (words to that effect) NOT THAT YOU DIDN"T KNOW... " --- Well if one has no experience, just exactly where does PTSD come from? I lived under the conditions that make PTSD. It is you that is living it second hand and trying to come off as the expert.

Your the one that brought it up, trying to tie it into bad bad drones.

I can certainly understand your confusion here... I DIDN"T SAY YOU DIDN"T HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE DID I? Nor was I Only (if at all) speaking of not having PTSD Personally..... you are the one that chose to take it there.... I didn't claim that I had any first hand knowledge of MY OWN PTSD since I have never had it.... I have FIRST HAND KNOWLEDGE of the Disease and How it CAN affect those afflicted with it as I have a Grandson who had it very badly for quite a while...... So you can get off your high horse and comment on what I actually said, and Where I went with what I said.... You have answered (sort of like Dirt and others) by going off on a ramble of stupidity that basically had/has nothing to do with what I said.....

Your the one that brought it up, trying to tie it into bad bad drones.

My comments had absolutely nothing to do with BAD BAD Drones but of owners and flyers of Drones that indicated on this Forum that they would fly them anywhere they pleased unless (maybe) there was a law against it.....That was the gist of the various comments you posted several times..... in typical My dad can whip your dad type of comments...

Oh and again Quote:"don't bother posting on the subject again..

Thank you for acknowledging that you have posted the last time on the subject... I will also agree to that...

Try a spud launcher shooting a weighted net below a parachute to snag the sucker. Then charge admission to your air space!

There is a drone looking into every house in every town. It's called the FEDS and I wonder if this is the drone we all really want to down?
