What is the difference between RC aircraft and a drone?
Would it be feasible to produce drones that could mimic flight patterns of birds for purposes of marksmanship training?

Nothing.
Both are dangerous to us pilots.
But generally RC planes are not mounted with a camera and used to invade privacy. Also there seems to be a greater sense of responsibility by RC plane owners of safety and respect for others.
On the other hand drone users are generally of the totally self absorbed selfie type that invade others privacy, fly them around airports endangering lives of hundreds of people at a time and being just plain obnoxious to all others at their own self gratification and narcissism.
We find ordinary swan shot works just as well. Just got to knock out one of the propellers and the contraption flops out of the sky.
Try to get it over water. Nice fizzing noise as the electrics short out.

This is a true fact from Sunday's local newspaper (Idaho Statesman). A company in Emmett is marketing a new shotgun round for shooting down Drones. It is a 12 gage 3 inch mag shell with steel pellets. They sold out their first run of 96 cases in two weeks.

Before you shoot down any drone please read this

YepÂ… and it's illegal to shoot one down, any more then to shoot some ones car you don't like. Then there is the issue that some of us can shoot back.
It seems it is also illegal to fly over or into private property and annoy your neighbors or spy on them and also to get in the way of first responders doing their job. Don't want it shot down stay legal and stay friendly then you wont have any problems.

When your drone hovers over my daughter sunbathing in our pool, promise you it is going down warning all perverts. cars don't stop in front of my property, very long or I walk out and ask can I help you. cant do that with a drone.
Luckily laws can change, especially stupid laws and when an ignorant drone operator does an ignorant thing like spy on someone in their undies in their house loosing his drone should be a minor problem for them.

you sir talk like a real ass. the drones that are out now won't even start within a 5 mile radius of any major airport. there is no "private" air space. The air space as little as 10" above the ground is NOT your property. know what you're talking about before you open your mouth. While I agree that drones should not be flown over residences to spy on neighbors. Simple talking to the pilot should solve this type of problem.

Looks like the real ass here is you with your neighborly response. You think the air space above my home is 10" please feel free to fly your drone in my backyard. I promise you will love the response received by me.
On a lighter note, I heard that this whole drone look in your window or at your daughter sun bathing thing was first done by that famous man from China: Peking Tom.

   Very good article on Peking Tom in the Chincheese newspaper but I couldn't read a word of it and no pictures.
Read it before but if your breaking my law in my backyard don't hold your breath waiting for me to read it again.
