Here it is, a G A Precision build on Rem 700 action with a Mike Rock 5R, M24 (Army) contour barrel, Badger metal top and bottom. Scope is a Leupold Vari-X III military with M3 turrets (1 MOA elev./1/2 MOA windage). The stock is a McMillian "General Purpose Hunting (HTG), the original M40A1 Marine Sniper Rifle stock as originally designed by McMillan for a heavy barrel Remington 700". Paint job is Italian Desert Cammo.
Some people won't use a .308 for 1K, and as you can tell, it isn't a true target rifle, but with the right load it works fine. Out shoots me any day.
The 10 shot group image was the final load developed and the one I use. It's 10 rounds (prone off a pack) at 100 yards during load development (.263" C to C)
New neck sized Lapua Brass/175 SMK/Fed 210M primer/44.5 Gr.Varget

Nice group.
Keep it up.
I enjoy reloading as well for my shooting pleasure and considerable savings especially with loads for the 45-70 Govt. and the 3 different firearms require separate loads starting with BP for the original Trap Door.

Lots of hobbies, among them are fly tying, reading, music, cooking and gardening. This summer I also started making electric and acoustic 1 string guitars called diddley bows. They have their roots in Africa.
I'm sure that's how the blues musician Bo Diddley got his name. To see him play the Bo Diddley song (with his guitar and female group) in 1965, go here. It's a hoot.

A team mate of mine used AA paper hulls and he was using the Winchester Model 12. I warned him to check his barrel after each shot. He didn't, twice, and he ended with two big bubbles on his barrel. What a shame. Did you know that using capital letters in an e-mail means your pissed off. I hope not.

Aw, memories.
I have a little wood shop out in my back yard, and as an avid fly-fisher and fly tyer, I build custom fly tying desks for others. I've been building these for over twenty years, and when I am in my shop I think of nothing else. It is a great "mind clearer." My sweet wife, with a smile on her face says, " I am out in the shop slapping a few boards together." I love that woman!

Those are really nice! I see that you have a double row of 'pins' I am guessing for spools. Have you tried staggering them? Do you ever make drawers for underneath? (I always thought that a drawer was handy, but if it detached and set to one side when you were tying and then clamped on for storage would be better) At any rate, those are really beautiful and I am sure any one lucky enough to get one, would be very happy to have it.
Me too or is it 5 or 6? W3KLS. Also shooting especially handgun, reloading ammo, and recently started airgunning. Many are not just Red Ryders these days!

you are in very good company. Norman Rockwell used to photograph people in his town and use the photos to help him draw his illustrations. Just think you deliver his newspaper, get your photo taken then several monthxs later there you are on the cover of Saturday evening post. He actualy was quite good as a photographer.
That makes me happy to hear .....I didn't know I was in such good company!
