Nice set Bob - I have the P900 and I find it very good despite the expected limitations of a bridge against a DSLR - but on occasions it has outperformed my DSLRs - so convenient to carry anytime but has the feel of a medium quality DSLR.

Thanks Rathyatra. I agree with you about the merits of this camera. I own its predecessor, the P600, which produced better color and resolution than a Canon SX60 I used for a while. I ended up giving that camera to my daughter as I like the Nikon P&S's much better. I still shoot with Canon for my DSLR's.

Excellent series Bob. Like Mike said it's not the machine it's the driver. When I see a file I don't care how it's made, if I like it, I like it. If don't like it ,I don't like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Jim. I'm with you. I don't really care what camera I may have in my hand at the moment, I still can get a good capture. As I tell folks, I just have to get close ...... Photoshop will do the rest.

Thanks Earnie. I agree with you ..... it was my favorite as well. It was just a small microcosm of all those great places that greymule has taken us over the past few months.

Really really nice set. Love the last one too! If I chose one word it would be inspiring. I'll keep trying!

Thanks Rob. If you like that last one, please check out http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-333233-1.html .... it uses the same development technique.

Three beauties, Bob. Not sure which I like best. Each is quite appealing!

I think what I like most about this set Randy is just knowing there are photo opportunities in one's hometown that really get overlooked. The Red Cliffs, for instance, really reminded me of Greymule's images, albeit on a much smaller scale. Still, it was worth shooting.

I've read a number of comments lately of folks are leery of purchasing the P900 because it lacks RAW capability. I wished it had RAW too, but went ahead and purchased it on its merits. I've been using it almost exclusively for the last 2 months, and it's never held me back.

These photos were all taken yesterday, in and about my home in Burlington, NC. I had to chuckle ....... I wrote to greymule, telling him that my second photo reminded me of all the beautiful scenery he sends us from out West. I was quick to acknowledge that our little cliff face pales in comparison with his mountains, but bore a certain similarity in color and texture.

Nice images Bob, I love the last one.

Thanks infocus. That last one was tricky ...... I had a scarecrow tree against some remarkable clouds, but it wasn't working in color, and it didn't look all that good as a silhouette. Ahhh, but a reverse-silhouette ...... that worked.
