I have a Tamrac Expedition series DSLR backpack. Here's a link to their site: http://www.tamrac.com/5584.htm

They can be configured to hold more than one body and more than one lens. The hard part is picking one that isn't too small because if you do, you'll buy a size or two up and then have an extra. I know, I did that. But you can always sell them to friends you know. I have the 7x model and have outgrown it and would not like the 9x model.

I have two Tamrac Expedition a 5 & a 9.
The 5 Wasn't big enough for everything, so I got the 9. It held everything at the time, but was 60Lbs. 2 bodies with Grips, 580EX II Flash, 100-400L , 10-22mm, 28-70mmL, 100mm Macro, 80-200mm 2.8L, Extension tubes, 70-300mm, special Filters, and other misc stuff. This is way to for me to ever take someplace. I mostly use it for storage and take out what I need. But it does hold a lot! Now I have extra lenses that don't even fit in it. The more space you have the more you will fill up, and then the more weight you will have to carry!

Check out Amvona products. Had their pack since 2006 with no issues.
Carries two bodies, 7-8 lenses, all accessories, pocket for 15" laptop, place for tripod on side. Pretty sure it was about 60 bucks at the time.
It also has a waist belt and rain cover.

Forget Amvona, they were driven out of business by irate customers tired of poor quality products:

Don't buy a cheap case or backpack. My ex-girlfriend bought a cheap one and I can't believe how it looks now. Torn, battered, padding flattened out. No bueno.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a good heavy duty backpack for camera and gear. I usually carry my 7d and 50d, 70-200mm lens, 50mm and one other lens with me and need a good backpack. I have a Canon but I have had to sew it up a couple of times. Time to replace it!

Normally I use my Lowepros and love them. When I go out of country and need a bag that's more discreet and durable I use a backpack made by 511 Tactical and adjust it to my use.

My pack has withstood many trips, both local and overseas. It still protects my gear as designed without any issues. I have heard of problems with some of their light stands. In any case, although out of the photo supply biz, they continue, having morphed into a technology blog site. An odd transition, but I do miss some of their products. Some of their products still surface on eBay, new and used. Can't speak for all of their products, but my Amvona backpack looks and operates very well after 6 years of pretty hard use. Check out for yourselves. But I digress ............. . Lol

I totally agree with MT, LowePro is very good quality, it last forever if you take care of it and they are fairly priced, I love mine. But, totally a matter of personal preferance.

While LowePro seems to be the common choice and IS an excellent line, you really should look at the Domke line before you buy.

I use Lowepro backpack. It will hold camera and 4 lens. I usually walk around with 300mm, macro, 55mm ,(250mm on camera) and still have one spot open for my next lens. (Which I am undecided about).
I love it and never leave home without it.

If their bags are made in America, I wonder why their vests and jackets are made in China?

I use the lowepro flipside 400 aw. Enough room for 2 bodies, 70-200 f2.8 and two shorter lenses, flash, filters, batteries and much more. The big thing that attracted me to this bag is the fact that the main compartment opening is against your back so in crowded areas thieves can't get into it. The accessories part they can but not the main compartment where all the expense is.
