It's hard to photograph the sunrise here where I live...there are no amazing beaches for the sun to come up over...there are more hills here than Deer!...there just isn't a flat place in the whole state!

So it's really hard to figure out how to get a good sunrise...

I went to a local lake this morning and there was a lot of mist hanging over it...so i set up the tripod on a dock and gave it a shot.

I took about 15 or 20 shots and 3 came out well enough to not be embarrassed about.

Here is the best of the bunch. I tried to include some foreground interest in the very large cattails.

This is my first shots with my new 5D MKII using a small aperture and I had a LOT of sensor dust!! I must have cloned out about 20 large spots.

Very nice composition. Love the balance created by the reflection.

Keep gettin' up early-

That's where the worms are.

That's gorgeous. Once live atop a hill on a dead end road near Charleston....before digital cameras. Love it there.

Looks beautiful! I like the cattails in the foreground. Good strong colors, too. Nice.
