Folks, I ran across these 3 kittens all alone in the woods during my camping trip. Apparently someone had dumped them off. They were so excited and happy to see me. I spent several minutes petting and playing with them. They seemed in good health despite being a bit skinny. I decided to entice them to follow me back to camp where perhaps someone would want them. After several stops along the way to keep them close by (and get these shots), we finally made it back. Several people came up asking about them, and before long...the the whole camp knew of them. Fortunately, a family with several little girls came by. They asked about them and of course the little girls kept asking "Can we have them?" The parents we're a bit reluctant at first, but then gave in. I was so glad to see these cats get a new home and family to go to. That just made my day!

Beautiful captures, James, but more important, what a great thing to do! Thanks!

Thank you Kindly everyone for stopping by. Loved all the nice comments and stories. It sure was a nice end to what was a heart breaking discovery during my walk through the woods. As cute as these little ones where, I just knew they'd find homes and they all did.

If you see any more abandoned kittens RUN the other way!!
My wife and I did not, and now we have ELEVEN sharing our house.... (And six are feral...)
Kidding of course, (about running away.)
The only thing is "back in the day" we gave out cats ANY type of leftovers, and NEVER had to take them to the vet. NOW they have SPECIAL cat foods for EVERY type of cat, (or cats with problems..) And the AVERAGE cost of a visit to the vet is OVER $150 (for ANY type of visit..) Of course I am talking about South Florida, so maybe it's different out in the world where you live.
(In fact we are going to sell our house and move to somewhere in the U.S. with forest, 4 seasons, cheaper housing AND vets!)
Us and (probably) ALL eleven cats (that we KEEP talking about "giving up!")
Wait gotta go, there is ANOTHER feral cat looking in our plate glass window from outside, wanting to be fed.
(Don't worry, NO PLANS on making it an even DOZEN!)
Right!!?????

Excellent shots and heartwarming story with a happy ending - how can people be so callous as to abandon such beautiful creatures?

Great shots and a happy ending. We had a big white cat that was the friendliest cat in the world. Thanks for sharing the photos and the story.
