Beautiful series, and I love the history lesson of the names and placements of the mountains.

What's a great landscape without a great story. Glad you enjoyed the photos.

We were fortunate to have a spectacular morning and a very good afternoon on the first day that my wife and I were in Switzerland. Early in the morning we took the train to the Jungfrau Joch (You can google "top of Europe") The train goes through the north face of the Eiger and Mönch mountains in a tunnel. Then it stops at the Jock (saddle)between the Mönch and the Jungfrau. From here you have a spectacular view; but you can also go out onto the glacier and hike around a bit. In the afternoon we hiked the Panoramaweg which gives you wonderful views from the Wetterhorn to the Jungfrau. It was quite spectacular. I'll post more picture from the trip as they get processed. I've been travelling since four am so this is all I got done today. Comments, of course, are always welcome. The most famous group of mountains in this region are the Eiger (ogre) Mönch (monk) and the Jungfrau (virgin) The Mönch is placed between the Eiger and the Jungfrau so that her honor will be kept in tact.

Glad you enjoyed the set. We stayed in Wengen and used the cog railways to go everywhere. Wonderful time.

It is on the expensive side; but I think it was worth it. Thanks for taking a look.

That is a place that is on my list. Trouble is that list gets longer by the week it seems. Thanks for taking a look.

Glad you enjoyed them. I had one last trip this summer where I got to drive across country. We did not get to Texas; but took a northern route across Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming and South Dakota. Then we made a quick (relative term) across the mid west and Pennsylvania to home. Wish I had the time to turn around and take that southern route to the West. Then I would like to do a few North South routes as well. Hell, I could drive around this country indefinitely and never get bored. It's all great.
