HAD A PERSON HERE IN ARIZONA PAY $350,000 TO SHOOT A TROPHY ELK. IT WAS A GUIDED HUNT. THE MONEY GOES TO HELP THE WILD LIFE AND THE LANDS. THE SAME IS TRUE IN MANY AREAS. HAD A FRIEND THAT PAYED $30,000 TO HUNT SHEEP IN CANADA A FEW YEARS BACK. WHERE DO YOU THINK THAT MOST STATES GET THERE MONEY TO MANAGE WILDLIFE. FROM THE HUNTER, FISHERMEN AND THE SALES OF ALL THEIR STUFF.
THIS HAS GOTTEN BLOWN WAY OUT OF HAND.
MORE CRAP ABOUT THIS THAN THE FOUR MARINES THAT GOT KILLED.
From this I take it you are of the huntin' shootin' and fishin' fraternity so will continue to mindlessly support the killing with this excuse that this is how the wildlife preservation is funded.
My experience in Africa is that NONE of the hunt money goes anywhere near wildlife preservation unless you count the game farms and hunt guides as part of wildlife preservation (we don't). The license fees that get paid fund general government.
You make a crude generalisation that I suspect you will continue to argue when the last lion disappears under the hail of gunfire of the wannabe rambos.
