Excellent shots, and welcome aboard. I prefer the photos without the light painting on the buildings, as I think the "painting" detracts from the night sky. Thanks for posting these, as I am headed to AZ, and UT in September and want to try to take some similar shots out there.

Awesome shots. I too wish we had some dark areas within reasonable driving distance. I was considering the 16-35 as my next purchase (once I save enough $).
