Don't think so. I am a Democrat and several of my neighbors are not.
I have no idea why some people think those with different political views do not love our country. One of the reasons this county is so great is that we have the freedom to think different. - Dave

Because you cannot be a democrat and love this country. This nation was founded on individual liberty and freedom from tyranny and freedom from the the nanny state. democrats do not believe in liberty, they believe in the nanny state (welfare, obama care and all the other horrors that our founders would abhor if they knew about it. No where in the Constitution is there any of this garbage being forced by the feds on the individual. Including PC speech (Denying the first amendment) and "reasonable gun control" denying the second amendment. Yes I get upset as it is sad that democrats think destroying individual liberty is some how good. It is communism that is for the state not the individual.

I find that comment extremely ironic next to your avatar. I for one fly our flag daily. With the way things are going in this country am very tempted to fly the flag upside down as a sign of distress and protest. What I find extremely offensive and a violation of the US flag code, is the photos of gays flying US flags modified to where the stipes of the flag are replaced with rainbow colored stripes. Every part of the flag has symbolic meaning. Never understood the connection between gays and rainbows. The rainbow was created by God to be a symbol to humanity of his covenant to never again destroy the earth by flood as in noah's time. Among the flagerent sins blatantly occurring at that time was rampant homosexuality.

The same sin that led to the nukeing and total destruction of Sodom, Gehhmora, and 3 other cities in ancient Israel.

Thank you.   This was a Christian nation founded on Christian principles. No matter how much PC speech trys to change history and the truth of the founding of this nation.

a member of the left coast, the peoples republic of comun fornia. with the exception of maybe san diego. If I lived in a state that had a major fault line in 2 0f its biggest cities, and a fault line running right thru a nuke power plant, I would play it safe and do a lot of praying and witnessing. I would google our founding fathers. You would find out that all the ivy league schools were established as seminarys to provide the new nation preachers. George Washington. Abraham lincon. fdr. Ronald regean, and George w bush all stressed that the republic must be based on judeo/ Christian values for America to survive and for the people of the us to be motivated to take care of each other.

First things first:
lincon | Lincoln
seminarys | seminaries
regean | Reagan

We fly the flag proudly out here in the west.

You right wing freaks yearn for a Mayberry RFD America free from dark
skinned people, gays and non-christians. Good god what a boring place
you yearn for. Go find a island on Mars you can call your own .

Second, The united States of America is not Christian. It's Neutral.
take your religious notions and STFU. We the people are united in
believing that you can worship who ever you want as long as it doesn't
infringe on someone else's right to worship something else.

Stop being a douche on America's birthday

I just went out to hang our flag. Looked up and down the block and not another flag to be seen. Thirty five years ago their was one on ever house. I guess folks are too busy getting the buys at Wall Mart to think about our great country. - Dave

As the greatest generation leaves us now , the American Spirit is under tremendous challenge . It's as if we have lost our way.
But the American Flag , whenever I see it, promises us that "tomorrow" is anything we wish it to be, we the people.
I saluted our flag for 4 years and have continued to do so my entire life . I'm proud to be an American and I fly our flag with great pride.

People on both the left and the right could learn something from reading John Meacham's book American Gospel.

I have a 30 ft flag pole right outside my front door with a Bennington flag flying for the Independence day holiday. On different occasions I fly different flags. The one I get most questions about is the Flag of Honor which I fly the week of 9/11. Sometimes people knock on my door to ask about the flag. I don't think patriotism or love of country is gone in the United States. Just look at the large amount of young people who have enlisted in the armed services over the past 10 years and put their lives on the line.

Because of the political climate, many Americans are ashamed of our flag and what it stands for. Those of us who served understand the symbolism and what our once and future great country can become with the right leadership. This is not a party discussion, we need people to vote for the people who would proudly serve this country and not any group or themselves.

No they can't. That is what liberals say and they all hate America and do all they can to destroy it. It is a proven fact that the observation of the flag makes people feel more pride and have conservative positive thoughts about the US. Vs liberals and Democrats doing all they can to supreme love of country and pride in its glorious past.

Wow - the only hate I feel is right here. Liberals "hate America" and want to "destroy it"? Wow - you just cannot accept that some people have a different perspective than your own? But THAT, sir, is exactly what America was founded to not only allow but to encourage. By pushing to expand the liberties of ALL Americans we "liberals" are destroying America? By pushing to get access to health care by ALL of our fellow citizens we are "destroying" America? You sir, are a nasty person.

In fact - although I respect the flag for what it represents, I do not "Pledge Allegiance" to a piece of cloth. I DO pledge allegiance - and when I recite the Pledge I substitute the word "Constitution" for the word "flag". It is the Constitution to which we should all pledge our allegiance and it is the Constitution that we protect with our lives if necessary. Yes, liberals too.
