The third party lenses (Sigma,Tamron etc.) have come a long way. The new Tamron Art series has been compared equal to Cannon and Nikon. The good glass does come with a price tag though. You can save 40-50% by getting QUALITY third party lenses.
Thanks again. I may have to look into that.

My wife passed 26 days ago. I went out birding and trying to ease my pain. As I was shooting this waterfall, this beautiful butterfly came in and landed on my ring finger. I honestly feel it was my wife coming back to me. She loved butterflies. I couldn't tell ya the last time I had a butterfly land on me, let alone land on my ring finger... God works in mysterious ways..
What a lovely story, I'm sure her presence was in that beautiful butterfly :) Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful moment.
Some Dragonflies:
Two of the dragonflies I am posting are jewellery pieces found and given to me by my daughter. which reminds me, I should wear them more often as when I do they often are remarked upon about their loveliness.
Now for some other lovely dragonflies
blue dragonfly
red dragonfly
a calico pennant
a twelve spotted skimmer
a four spotted skimmer
a river jewelwing damselfly
Sorry, am a little late to send in a photo or two on the subject, but will try, ok. Am kinda new at this stuff. LOL
Will have to learn the names of some of these insects/bugs, huh? :D
A dragonfly
A mystery worm
Is this a stonefly?
How about a Polarid shot?
Another butterfly
Not sure just what it is,ok?
Some beetles , bugs

a burying beetle
unknown name beetle
