Welcome to the next challenge which is Bees, Bugs and Butterflies.

I am sure we all have some types of bugs around the house either beautiful or annoying.

If you are like me and don't have a macro lens then you can still take some really good photo's of these tiny creatures.

I have included some links to help us out. Have fun and can't wait to see all the beautiful and not so beautiful Bees, Bugs and Butterflies.

This first link is for most of us that do not have a macro lens.

And for you lucky one's that do have a macro lens, then here is a link for you.

This pretty butterfly is called a Common Postman. Don't know why such a pretty thing would have a name like that. Maybe they like to gather around mail boxes, lol

Lori, I totally understand about that work thing. I've worked 16 days straight, with no time off for my favorite photography past time. Thank goodness, there's only 2 days left in this week. I refuse to work this weekend! I'm just too old for all work and no play time.
This is the year of the Cicada here in Southeast Kansas. The song of the Cicada is deafening in the late afternoon and evening. Even driving down the highway, past trees and pastures, the sound is deafening.

This Cicada was watching me very closely. It's almost cross eyed.

The spider tries to overtake the Cicada. BTW he doesn't succeed.

Thanks.... In my excitement over the challenge I failed to comment on the wonderful set you started us with. That first shot is truly marvelous! It lifts the spirit with the light and How vast that flower must look to the bee!

Amazing indeed! Beautiful too. But, please keep that last one up there in your country. I'm highly allergic to wasps.
