Beautiful shots, Frjack. I especially like #3. You do a nice job of illustrating the beauty of morning in many of your images. I won't suggest it reminds me of the song 'Morning Has Broken' as I don't want to plant another ear worm. :D

Too late. Is planted. However, that is not a problem. Longwood is a glorious place. Too bad it isn't open at dawn or, in the winter, at sunset.

Nice captures. Longwood is lovely, for sure. You might also try Grounds for Sculpture just outside of Trenton, NJ.

Thanks for the comment and lead. I've only been to Trenton once. You may have given a reason to make it twice. I have family in Philly/Wilmington and lived in Philly for seven years. I am embarrassed to admit that I haven't been to Winterthur yet. Passed it Wednesday morning on the way to Wilmington but have yet to go.

Spent several hours at Longwood Gardens on Tuesday. Not terribly hot, mixed sun and clouds. One of the places I never fail to visit is the water lily pond. It is surrounded by the 4 acre indoor conservatory. Several years ago I heard one of the workers explaining to someone that a black dye is added to the water to hide the tubing etc. Will be posting more Longwood photos from the orchid room, some of the outdoor areas and any others that look interesting.

beautiful gardens ! i like the colors and compositions of the floating sunrise and the magenta beauties...lovely shots frjack.

Good to see your pics. Been busy so I usually just glance and go these days. I attended Eastern Baptist Seminary at Lancaster and City Line Aves. Took a couple of classes at St Charles Boromoe(so?). Also min at Andover Newton Theological School. Grew up in Brockton. Retired Presbyterian Clergy. Doing lots of contemplative photography. Loved Longwood Gardens, haven't been there for years. Great work!

Thank you. Longwood is always worth visiting if you are anywhere near Philadelphia.

Thank you for the comment. We've lived in similar parts of the country. I was just across the street from Eastern Baptist for a party with some classmates from Temple Medical prior to our reunion. Have never been in St. Charles but would like to visit there some day to photo the chapel. I'm making plans to meet the Temple classmate who got me started with photography for a visit to Longwood some time in the autumn. The chrysanthemum festival is one of my favorite times there.

Please post some and let me know. I'm still wading through the ones I took on Tuesday. Was surprised to see that the fountains are being replaced and thus are non-functional until the spring of 2017.
