nikon will, altho, on some bodies vs lens you may lose auto focus or priorty modes.
I donated mine to a school student that couldn't afford to buy one in order to take photography in school. He came through with an "A"!
eBay will cost you little or nothing to post something for sale. For auction-style selling, the first 50 are free. Generally, the first photo is free and additional cost 15 cents. If you don't add any other upgrades, it can cost nothing. Registration is easy, although you do need a PayPal account. Setting that up is pretty easy too.
This is a free ebay price research site:
http://www.terapeak.com/ebay_research You can search the past 14 days of sales (it's not a 14-day free trial as I misunderstood it).

I'm a photography instructor at the local community college and still teach a film and darkroom class. We can always use good film cameras and lenses. I can also provide a donation letter from the school for tax purposes where we can use the fair market value. You can contact me off the list at; frank@itpphoto.com
You'd be surprised how appreciative and happy a worthy student can be getting a camera to use.
Thanks, Frank
