I found an obscure reference via Google referencing deleting a line from the hosts file in a system32 folder. That worked and I downloaded LR 6. But now guess what? There is an update showing under updates in LR 6 but the server stalls when I attempt to get the update. SAys check the firewall. There is no firewall running while I attempt to do the update. So my "fix" must not have been such. AUUUUGHH!!

Still no response from Adobe on my problem. Some tech support.

Happy shooting (just not from Adobe)

Your hosts file fix probably got you to the distribution server. However, there may be another line in your hosts file blocking the connection to the update server. Recheck hosts for another adobe.com line.

Thanks for the tip. There are no references to Adobe, and I still get the Error 207 message when trying to update CC.

No response from Adobe on my service ticket. Never had such a problem with a program in all my years working with computers.
