Hi Bob...I guess I do have somewhat of a lighting style. I go more for the darker...dramatic...richer look, I guess.
I'm glad you like it. However, with your talent and know-how...I'm in awe of that!
Take the plunge and thank you!

I'm beginning to recognize your lighting style Pixelpixie. It's one that I stand in awe of, and these bird photos are no different. I suspect you get better results out of this lens than do many others but I'm glad you've encouraged the rest of us to make the plunge.

That was my first impression on first using it...much sharper than I had even hoped for! I have a Nikon 300 prime with a 1.4 TC and really didn't expect the Tamron to outdo it...however, I'm thinking it is just as good.
Thanks for looking!

Excellent shots. I am also happy with the sharpness of mine at 600mm, on my D7100. The myth of 'soft @ 600mm' has been bandied around by people who have never used one, so it is based on pure ignorance. I concur that this lens is sharp @ 600mm (even without a tripod). :-) :-)

I am more than happy with my new lens. The first two bird photos are at 600mm and could not get much sharper. See the "original". I just thought that maybe if someone was hesitating like I was a couple of weeks ago about buying this lens, go for it! I'm sure glad I did. Also, this was on a Nikon d7000.

Great images pixel   I love my Tammy too. I think somewhere between F7.1-9.0 is the definitely the sweet spot.

I have the Sigma 150-600mm Sports on order and only hope it gives as sharp a photograph as you are getting with your new Tamy.
