I'm sure there is absolutely nothing wrong with the dogs, but why should an exception be made just because he is a celebrity. Depp does a lot of traveling with his career. Surely at least one of his minders/advisors should have known that you can't just take dogs into another country without making prior arrangements (permits etc). I think one finger points at Depp & co for their ignorance. The other finger points at slack Aussie staff for their incompetence in not detecting the dogs on arrival. Their presence in Australia was first noticed when they were seen on the Gold Coast, 600 miles away.

I agree, but Border Security rely on people declaring their goods etc. I was given umpteen forms to fill out when I arrived, surely Mr Depp was given the same?

Another mole hill turned into a mountain, lol.

Now can I ask all those people who think that the Australian, Gov was wrong, Yes i agree that the Imigration prople need waking up, Can I bring into your country my dog without going through the right chanels , I think not, Yes I have brought a dog into Australia from New Zealand some years ago, but as in my case, did it the right way, and with no problems,
Have people never heard of Rabies, yes it does exist, and we dont want it being brought into Australia, and neither does any other country, I may be taking my dog to New Zealand, but believe me, I will do it the correct way, NOT IN MY PRIVATE JET,

I understand that one of Depp's "assistants" brought the dogs in inside a carry bag.
I have also heard that there could be problems now with quarantine regulations in America as they have "been exposed" in Australia.

What total bullshit. Do they really think Johnny Depp is flying around the globe with diseased dogs. I will say that rules are rules but give me a break. If Mr. Depp will send me round trip airfare and a little spending money I'll go down and get the pups.

It could be a terrorist who has had his appearance altered to look like Johnny Depp. The plan is to introduce a rabid dog to Australia and decimate the population.

Australia does not have rabies and they would like to keep their country rabies free and I don't blame them for that.

Unfortunately the poor dogs pay for his ignorance or arrogance whichever caused the situation.

Cute little pooches but rules is rules. I'd bet lots that if I tried that into the USA there'd be hell to pay.
Here, I reckon they should keep the dogs & put Johnny Depp down. Scruffy git.

Depp is different that's for sure. I've really enjoyed the "Pirates" movies. There's not many who could pull off that role it the manner he did. I still think the original was the best. That's usually the way it way it works out. Speaking of movies "Jaws" 40th anniversary is in June. My favorite movie of all times. The sequels sucked.

This is not really interesting. But it is ironic, considering, Australia, on a per capita sort-of basis, has the most dangerous animals/spiders/insects known to mankind.
