Just Grand shots as usual Doc!

Hi Corolyn. Thanks for the nice comments and for taking the time to check out the pictures of my bug friends. Our season is starting to ramp up here in southeastern PA. We had our first damselflies in the county today. For the species it was it was a new county early flight date record by 10 days. There is hope for a good season after a horrible winter. Nice to hear from you.

HeyChuck, thanks for the comment and the thumbup. Things are just starting to wake up here in this part of PA. With a few days predicted for the area in the 80 degree range I'm hoping for some dragons and damsels to begin emerging. We had a few damsels emerge yesterday which was an early flight record for the county. Thanks again for looking in.

A few shots from the county survey. Shot for identification field markings. Not super artsy. Thanks for looking and try the downloads for better details. Have a great day!

Absolutely excellent Doc! Love that Carolina saddlebags shot from below! I just took trip to the hill country and I plan to post a few in a couple of days for your approval.

Thanks so much for looking in and for your gracious commentsMichael. I can't wait to see the shots you get . From your past posts I'm sure they will be wonderful. I may have told you that my kids and grandkids live in Round Rock and when I go to see them I shoot at Hornsby Bend and South East Metro Park both near the Austin-Bergstrom Airport. Both are excellent places to hunt.

Hey Jim it's always nice to hear from you. I'm glad you liked them my friend. The season is just starting here in southeastern PA. Looking forward to a good crop of dragons this year. We're going to try to get more into the small wooded streams instead of lakes and ponds. The problem is most are on private land and in farm pasture areas.
Again, thanks for looking in and cheers!

You had mentioned your Grand kids lived around there. I will note those two places. Mine are coming from comfort and on the Pedernales River.

Thanks so much Ron. I'm glad you enjoyed them. Obviously they are my favorite subject. Just starting our dragon and damsel season here in Pennsylvania. Cheers.

Hi Sue. Thanks for looking in and the nice comment. I had a group of students a trail tour at Blue Marsh Lake on Thursday and then went over to the stilling basin below the dam and had our first damselflies of the season. I really want to forget this past winter!
