Ditto Rbo36..include the firehouse dog if you like...only if its a spotted one though,ha

One problem there about the dog. The only firehouse dog is the dalmation costume for fire prevention education. I have tried to tell them they need a dog there but they won't go for it.

You might check the sign up form for the folks participating in the Citizens Academy. The three city FD I shoot for also has CA's and as part of the registration process the people attending sign a photo release. This means you don't have to do anything in this area.

All of the fire fighters have signed releases as part of their employment/volunteer paper work packages.

Thank you for that information. I am not allowed to see the sign up forms or the end of the academy questionaire forms as the dept says those are confidential other than the names and email addresses. I will just have everyone sign a photo/model release this year as last year the chief told everyone that he requested I submit some to the media. Never did though since the media showed up.

Thank you everyone. I see how it looks that the majority says to post them so I will post them. The class starts on April 16 (Monday and will be for 6 straight Mondays). The first night will not be many photos at all as it is all overview and orientation / gear assignment so nothing big there but after that it starts to get hands then goes all hands on in week 3.

I can not give a link to the fire site that they will be posted on as that site is only for fire photographers and must be a member of to get into it.

I have started a photo group site of my own on Yahoo where I can post them all to and provide the link that way and show the smaller amount here if that would be better since I am planning on taking hundreds of photos again this year.

Please let me know if that would work for you or if I should post them all here to since a few have already mentioned that I should. Thank You.

I think most people said post what you want to as people will look at what they want to. Seems like that would be plenty of information. Don't think there is much more to let you know about. Good Luck.

Thank You for mentioning that. The chief already knows that I post some photos on here for people to see and incase I would like C&C to learn more. I have offered to show him the site and he said that is ok he trusts me and never asked for any more info so it's ok for me to post the shots that I have been and planning on.

Please let me explain first. Thank You.

I will be starting a 6 week project that is for 1 day a week and 2-3 hours each. It is for the FD and I know that there is a bunch of people here that are sick of seeing those kind of photos. They will be of the newest FD Citizen's Academy where they pick a group of 12 people from the community and put them through this mostly hands-on crash course of the fire/ems services. The first night is all orientation and the other nights are almost if not all hands-on. I will be taking a lot of photos during the course of those 6 weeks showing what is going on in the events.

The question then for everyone is:

Should I post some of them here for everyone to see or should I not and just post other photos?

Just post interesting photos. No groups of people doing things. Do post some of your fire shots.

Thanks for your response. This event only takes place once a year so it is my largest event of the year for photos for event photos and not call photos. On the last night there is live fire training with different fire extinguishers. That part is fun! I don't have many fire photos with fire showing yet this year as the number of fire calls is way down from last year already. The only ones I have if from the brush fire earlier this year and have already posted.

You need to be in South Dakota. The fire season is off to a good??? start because of dry conditions. Lots of wild land fires. Took some fire photos yesterday on my way to grandson's prom. Not so good because it is a dangerous situation.

DK, I just saw on the news yesterday and in the papers that the fire danger is going to be at one of the worse levels ever here in my state due to lack of moisture over the winter and so far this spring. Maybe I will be getting busier?
