Congratulations, Regis,on your beautiful shot being published.

My Osprey photo was published in the Coeur d' Alene Press newspaper here in North Idaho. The newspaper wanted to publish the best wildlife photos in this area of North Idaho.
No prizes or money was involved, just recognition. They did publish a 8"x10" photo which is fairly large for a newspaper.

Thank you very much, Donkas. I missed a week or more last year from shooting Bald Eagles while fighting a kidney stone. Hang in there,

Thank you, Washy. Yes, the Tamron is a great lens for the money and 600mm is not soft as some might say. See the below Tamron photo I took 2 days ago.
After you download, hit the magnify + with your mouse for more detail.

Canon 7D Mk II - Tamron 150-600mm @ 600mm - 1/400 - f/7.1 - ISO @ 500. Distance was 25-30 feet.

Regis, when you add just a little contrast and sharpening do you do it within the camera or with a computer program? Too bad though that picture is of a sparrow as if you have any other birds that nest in holes or bird houses these little cute guys will,go in and take over the nest that has already been built. They will even kill the babies and build their nest right on top of the bodies. I know this from experience. We no longer have many sparrows around our house.

I add some contrast and sharpness from 1 or more programs depending on the photo composition, but I keep the enhancements to a minimum, Donkas.
