I have just acquired a new Canon 7D Mark II and would like to find a GOOD printed manual. The included printed manual has small print and is incomplete. The disk included in the package is much better but is 320 pages and I don't want to print it. So UHH ers any suggestions.

Take a look at CreativeLive.com. They have excellent videos, several hours long, covering specific model cameras.
Okay, it's the 7D, but there can't be much difference in the controls.

Bud...I ordered the Field Guide right after I received the 7D Mk II, it still hasn't been published. I ended up getting "Canon EOS 7D Mark II From Snapshots to Great Shots" from Amazon. It is a good book. I am still waiting for the Field Guide.
Take a look at
Canon 7D Mark II Experience

Don't know if it's what your looking for, but it's a great book to get you going.
Hello Bud - I too am a new user to the 7D Mark II and I have found the book - Canon 7D Mark II Experience - The Still Photography Guide to Operation and Image Creation with the Canon EOS 7D Mark II [Kindle Edition] by Douglas Klostermann on Amazon to be the best. I hope it helps you as much as it did for me.

Thank you Ken, I was hoping to find a printed manual. I have a nexus 7 and could go that way. Another Hogger mentioned a company that will supply a copy of the manual that is on the disk that comes with the camera for $35.00. I am going to look onto that.
Jerry,
Having owned both the original 7D and now using the 7D2, I can tell you that there is a world of difference in the available settings for the cameras.
Yes the basic layout is very similar but controls have moved and there are a wealth of more focusing options on the Mark II.

Another option is to call Canon customer service and ask for a printed copy of the full manual (same as on CD). I've done this a few times, never been refused, and more importantly, never been charged.

I just received a book on the Canon 7D Mk2 called 'From Snapshots to Great Photos' for $19.79 @ Amazon.com. by Jeff Revell. Very informative information.
There are so many good You tube videos out there on this body. It's much easier to search the topic to get the info you need. The canon website in particular is good.

The full manual from Canon that I downloaded from their Web site is 548 pages. You can take the file to a local print shop and print it two-sided relatively cheap.
I will often print small sections (a few pages) of important topics that I occasionally will need to reference. These are easy to take along in your gear bag.
And I also copy the manuals to my online OneDrive storage, which is synced to just about any computing device I carry around. Always have the full reference close by.

Thank You Regis. I had read the reviews on this book and decided to order it and now it is on the way. Thanks to all the members for their input bud
Hello Bud - There is a paper copy of this book if you choose to go that route. The main reason I liked this book was because it makes references to pages by number in the Canon supplied users manual. The author goes into more "simple, easy to learn, expanded" explainations that the user manual ignores or skips. Hope that helps.

"From Snapshots to Great Shots" also includes a very helpful first chapter where the author recommends camera settings and some valuable rationale for his settings. Good starter book. I also prefer the paper copy. And..... as I mentioned before, call Canon customer service and request a hard copy of the camera manual. They 'will' send you one, no charge. Good luck!

I too have been seriously considering the purchase of the Canon 7D Mark 2. One question about the camera that I haven't been able to find (and it's not a deal breaker) but does it do "multiple exposures" ? I can't find it, probably because it doesn't do this function. Am I correct?

A quick scan of the owner's manual didn't show anything listed in the index.
