I am about to buy a portable table-top studio, but there are a number of choices. What do you have/recommend?

This is the one I got.... best part is it all folds up into a portfolio type case that comes with it...lights and all...

I've been thinking about one of these, either building or buying. I would like something a little larger, and found the one at the link below.
you could use standard poster paper for additional backdrops, and the size is the same as their more expensive paper. :)
Also those little black squeezey office clips, are probably the same they offer to secure the additional colored paper, and you can find them almost everywhere.

What do you think, should I keep thinking/looking ??.

I guess there are a few questions to answer. Where will you be using this, does it need to be portable etc. The one I purchased comes in a portfolio style case which is actually part of the box. When you open it, it has the 3 white panels attached to it that fold up without removing. The additional cloths cover the back and bottom and attach via velcro. It would be possible if you wanted, to attach additional fabrics or papers via binder clips. The front has 3 pockets for the lights and tripod. The portability of it and the ease of storage were my main concerns.
Each person has to evaluate their own needs and decide. The complete set I purchased was half of the price of the one from BH Photo but that one is probably sturdier. Let us know what you decide and how good it works for you..... Not much help was I?

do a google search for tabletop studios..lots of different ones available... and you can make your own. I choose this one because it was recommended to me and I like the portability of it and I have zero storage space so this is fantastic. Let us know what you decide on .. happy shooting

I have used several types of tabletop set ups over the years. I am currently using a BestLight Studio. I have added a front panel to completely enclose it for jewelry photography.

WOW DB if that is your first can't wait to what happens when you get warmed up! GREAT!

I checked out that little setup. it that looks pretty slick!

I found one 24" W/ 4 lights for $71.10. That I think will be better for my needs... This is so cheap! Hope the lights last and new bulbs are available... Thanks for this direction!
