Thanks all. Went for a ride to pumpkin farms last week and came across the curled branch type things. The girl said they were "Devil's Claw" the very tip of the curl is very sharp and she said in the southwest they are often in the fields where cattle graze. They have a beautiful flower. She mentioned that cows often go too close to them and get the tips caught in their noses... almost like a fishhook and they are stuck there unless someone can rescue them.... so sad... but they sure make for interesting still life.
You need to frame this one
And hang it in the kitchen!!!

Might just do that... the filmstrip framing really makes the picture.... not bad at a first attempt just throwing a few things together....
Beautiful!!!
I am about to buy a portable table-top studio, but there are a number of choices. What do you have/recommend?

Very nicely done. Love the framing as well.

Do what db did.
I shouldn't have spent the extra on the camera stand
It's not a sturdy as a tripod
Put box on a table and use a standard tripod
