My take is..UP! Look at the left front paw.
I've seen that and similar. She changes direction, but I can't control it. I suppose I could spend several hours working on it, but it's bad enough that I spend so much time on UHH every day. :D

I finally found the man in the coffee beans, but it took a while. My doc said I needed more protein. Now I know she's right! lol

As in any optical illusion, my guess is bothÂ….its all how you look at itÂ…."is the glass half full or half empty."
But if i had to hazard a guess, i would say UP, (positive attitude,) as in the glass is half full.

I clicked on the link to your photos. Beautiful!!!
Down.
Stair treads tell the tale. Nothing ever should stick up beyond the horizontal surface of the tread. Imagine going down in the dark or while carrying something and hanging a toe on the leading edge - quick trip down!

Thank you. Glad that you liked my work. I have not added to the site in forever - I really need to get busy!

That makes two of us.
I'm sitting at my laptop looking at a box of old slides that I took in 1994 with my Leica R-5 & 50mm f/2 Summicron & 90mm f/2 Summicron.
Hi Jerry. I saw this the other day. Down because you can see the stair edges in front of each corner as you look at the stair case. If this was shot the other way, and the cat was going up you wouldn't see those edges but a flat surface of each stair.
Down, because the edge that is sticking out is what you toe catches on when you are drunk and trying to walk up the stairs. ;-)
