I was stationed on the USS America at Yankee Station in 71/72, with a short TDA at Cam Ranh Bay, to dis-assemble and remove sensitive equipment at the Naval Communication Station, just prior to base turn-over to the Vietnamese Navy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cam_Ranh_Bay
not enough americans thanked you for what you did. regardless of political beliefs, a soldier is a soldier is a soldier, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I could say it any better either! Thank you to all of you that have served! Loved the photos Sarge! Thanks for sharing.
Upon seeing these photos and descriptions, there is never enough Thanks to be given for what you and many others have done for serving our country. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE Sarge!
I thanked a man for his service there once and he cried. He said he had never been thanked by ANYONE before. I just couldn't imagine that!!! I have one of the sweetest step brothers in the world in square #51 on the wall. He was a helicopter pilot and had just taken off with a couple of wounded when he was shot down.
