All 3 150-600's side x side.
I get a lot of questions about the difference in size of the three 150-600mm lenses on the market, and there really is VERY little difference in physical dimensions between them. The only real difference is in the weight of the Sigma Sport model due to its full weather-sealing, Pro quality barrel build, and several more optical elements inside.
Tamron has 20 elements in 13 groups.
Sigma "C" has 20 elements in 14 groups.
Sigma "S" has 24 elements in 16 groups.
Very interesting Carter, thanks for posting.

Is this trick photography? With nothing to use for scale how about some dimensions? Is the bokeh your new shop?

Physical dimensions are easy to attain anywhere on the internet. I posted these pics just to show the physical size differences between the 3 models.
Yes, that's part of the new store in the background.
How far each extends when zoomed to maximum would also be interesting to see. I imagine very few users will restrict themselves to shooting sutch lenses at 150mm only.
I see a very nice looking store area. Please do not let me in there.
This would prevent a GAS attack.

Thank You, MT Shooter for showing the big 3 side by side like that. Probably the first time on the Internet a private individual has taken the time and resources to let us out here see them side by side.
Man that Sport is a chunky monkey!

Actually, you are wrong.
I've put somewhere between 15 to 20
thousand shots through my Tamron. Many of the KIA (kids in action) were in the lower end. But could be sucked up big if the moment called for it.
For example:
http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-278646-1.html#4702802So it depends on what the moment is holding, the desired subject, and what the composition is.
I can say that my Tamron, on a Nest Gimbal Head, uses 25mm of rail adjustment to be in perfect balance at 150mm, or 600mm. (About an inch)
So how long it is, or isn't, doesn't matter as much as what you want to achieve in capturing. ;)
Like DonB, a Sigzilla owner friend sez, "It is, what it is."
