I could tell it like it is though. I was able to have and use my Big Tammy while Sigma was slipping out rumors. In fact, I don't think the rumor mill had even started it's engine when I clicked the pre-order button with B&H.
Then like many others, I sat on my hands wondering for a couple of months. :hunf: Finally I gingerly sent a couple of emails of inquiry. I got canned answers. :?
So I went shopping locally and BAM! Found one just over the hill from me. Ordered up, and canceled the previous order so other folks on some mysterious list could hopefully move up.
Still Sigma's rumors floated along.
It was September and the Grand kids were playing their hearts out in the soccer games we'd watched since they were 3. In two days I had Big Tammy holding up my camera.
I never was one to sit around when there was work to be done. :)
Finally... a couple of the Sigzilla's materialized. And God Bless them, MT Shooter and NikonDonB scored two. Finally, the rumors can be seen. Joy is at hand.
I'm still scratchin my head over the thousand dollar difference.
Oh, I know... more weight, more glass, more-more....
I recon it's up to the individual to weight that difference...
Nice to see them stood up like firewood on the choppin block anyway...
