Here's the user manual and on page 42 there is nothing about manual focus. On page 77 it list only two focus options both are AF. I'm confused.

Looks like the UK version varies - I have downloaded your version to see if there are any material differences.

I am attaching a copy of the UK version.

Just had a look at the reference manual you downloaded and it is not the one for the P900 - it is for the Coolpix 900 which is a 1.3mp compact camera - no wonder you could not find Manual Focus on Page 42.
The Manual I sent as a PDF. should give you the necessary information re Manual Focus.

Thank you very much. This is good. I'm not the one you were addressing but I'd also looked at the wrong manual and never noticed.
Only issues left is the sensor size and RAW, and they are not killers as far as I'm concerned. Maybe they can eventually take care of RAW in firmware update(?). I'll take care of sensor size with another camera eventually.

Just got my P900 last week. Love the fact that it now has filter threads, can do in-camera HDR, can do manual focus(althought that is a bit complex), and of course, has the 2000x optical, the fine-digital, and regular digital. It is a bit heavier and bigger than my P600 and P510, but with a good sling strap, it sure beats carrying the equivalent lenses on trips to places like Antarctica and the Arctic, where you don't want to be changing lenses in the frigid, windy weather. Will be using my P600 as backup.
Thanks to all those who discussed this on the forum. Didn't even know it existed till I read about it here. I shoot a lot of wildlife, and this will only help.
