Someone in the UK has already posted pictures taken with the Nikon P900. Here in the US still waiting for camera?

Running out of patience? Don't worry, it will come soon enough!

Different regional release dates for a given product isn't anything new; this has been common practice for decades. But since the internet age, it's become much more obvious than in the past.

That depends on where you buy them from, not the country. I have had them in stock for almost a full week here. Only one display model left at the moment as they are VERY popular choices.
In my opinion, if Nikon would allow the P900 to record RAW images, it would likely render the D3300 series of cameras obsolete.

Have you tried any video clips? I'm curious about how it will do at full zoom for wildlife clips. It probably would need a tripod.

On edit, I found a few on YouTube. This one appears to be on a tripod testing the full 83x.

I have not shot any video with one at all, but the stills are quite good, even hand held at 2000mm. Seriously thinking about keeping the display unit for myself and maybe even adding it to the rental inventory.

P900 between D3300 and D7200 for size comparison. Its a BIG boy bridge camera!

It is big! I may be going through Yellowstone again this fall. I'd certainly consider renting one.

Last year I got a few clips of a white wolf and some bears a long way off with an m43 camera with a 600mm (equivalant) lens. In video mode it as an odd "Tele Ex" mode for even more reach. Essentially it takes advantage of the fact that 1080p video doesn't need the full size of the sensor.

The P900 might be more convenient.

I didn't know he was in the UK. That shows you how observant I am.

It looks like Adorama has them, but Amazon says they're out of stock.

Isn't the P900 sensor something like half the size of the D3300 sensor? I would expect it to have the same problem competing with a D3300 that a crop sensor camera has competing with a full frame camera, only more so.

Could that be added with a firmware upgrade?

I bought one in UK some weeks ago and posted some pictures - we have to dash and get one in case UKIP win the election and ban anything of a foreign character lol!!
