On the eagles ... when you remove the background like that .... to avoid the hard lines around the edges ... if you use the blur tool around the edges it makes it easier on the eyes to look at.
Great picture. But I agree you need to go just a step further with the blur tool. I really like the first and last photo.

I didn't know I could soften the edges other than through sharpening. I will have to acquaint myself with the blur tool. Thank You

Bring it into photoshop, select the blur tool and a soft brush & desired strength (not too strong) but to gently blend in the harsh lines. zoom it in so you can see the effect. go around the birds & have fun!
I've been reading the Hog for a number of months now and have learned a great deal. Now.........I guess its time to post and invite comment or I will never know if I'm on track or not. Follows a few of my favorites. Thanks so much for letting me share and for your comments....................Carl
On the AM in San Juan photo it looks like a photo taken of another picture. You can see the edge at the top left that EW mentioned and also from the bottom left edge running up the left side. Also on right bottom of photo. You wouldn't be trying to fool us would you??
In the first picture I loved how the clouds were lit up by the sunset and how the warm sunset contrasted with the snow on the evergreens. I enjoyed the Oregon coast photo also.

Hey COCO,...A 35 mm slide scanned, wasn't square in the box. It was pointed out, correctly so, by wolf that I lack attention to detail. A crop will correct that.
