Whoa! that wood duck photo is just AWESOME!! And the Meadowlark ain't bad, either! just super shots!

Thank you so much, Amy. So pleased you enjoyed!

With the meadowlark, if I'd had my SX50 with me, I know I would have zoomed in close. And then I would have missed that composition with the fence posts. A lesson there :)

A really beautiful set. My favorite is the meadowlark with such wonderful lighting on both the bird and the fence. The others all come in second.

Thank you for your lovely comments, Sirius. If I'd had my SX50 with me, I'd have zoomed in close and never seen that composition. Lesson learned :)

Not sure what the story was with the llama, though the sight did make me stop and back up in the middle of the road :) There was a ranch across the road, so maybe it gets to wander at will?

All with Canon T3i and Canon EF 70-300 mm except the Mallard ducks, which was Canon SX50, shot in raw.

Thanks for viewing!

lovely set I like them all.

Good set Linda, I love the potential in No. 2 but would liked to have seen more of where the reflections came,----just me grumbling,

Geoff

Thanks so much for your input, Geoff. I looked to see if I'd cropped that, but what you saw is how I composed. As I recall, there was a lot of unpleasing gray vegetation between the water and trees :)

All very nice Linda. But 1&3 are my pick. I really like llamas and thought about getting one till someone told me they are hateful and spit on you.. Lol
Not to mention the 8000 dollar price tag. Thought maybe I would pass :)

There is a herd of llamas that roam this area on a regular bases. When you find the pooh pile you will really get an idea of the number of llamas back there. The males will pooh in the same pile every time.
