I shoot with full frame 2.8 lens on my D810. Is their a adapters that would go onto the A6000 for a auto focus , that would make the nikon lens usable on the sony?? I also have a 70-200 2.8 full frame Tamron with the vibration reducer. I think that lens and the lil A6000 may catch some nice action shots?? Any suggestions on the adapters for these lens. This small sony is just out of the box, charging up. I bought that not so good kit lens. Sorry to see no battery charger! Just USB cable. Any Thoughts. With my new Toy.

There may be adapters for the new electronic diaphram Nikon lenses? - but the mechanical diaphram lenses will not play well with the all electronic Sony's .....

Sony gave up the flas shoe in m3 in favor of the pop up VD. The rx100m2 is an amazing camera fully capable as any dslr as long as you are not publishing material for magazines or need 16x20 photos. They struck an amazing balance between the zeiss lens 20 Meg's and a 1" sensor. The book by Alexander White will guide you thru the capabilities. Everyone is trying to copy this camera and have come close. But try it you will keep it and use it more than you ever thought you would. I don't use a case. Goes in my jean pocket. To protect it I use the Sony semi hard screen protector and a stick on lens protector. Also get franiac grip

Quick! Where did you get your stick on lens protector. I'm forever sticking my camera in my pants pocket and I worry about damaging those thin lens cover diaphragms. Thanks so much

I never let my greyhounds off the leash, I would never see them again! Also it would be a disservice to any rabbits within half mile.
My older grey I let run on a fenced beach. Right into the waves every time. She is my Good Girl, the other girl is always on the leash, very protective and will be a Theropy Dog next year!! I wanted a small camera to go with my Nixon DSLR and went through the same thing, agonizing about which camera to buy. I wanted something that was going to work well in low light. I went for the RX1000M3 and am glad I did. I have found this camera easy to use and the pictures have turned out great.
If you pick up an rx100 you will find it feature rich with a very complex system of menu choices some that conflict with one and other.. I strongly suggest buying Gary Freidman's ebook on this camera as it will save you countless hours of trying to figure it out. I have a his book for each of my sony camera's
I own a Canon 5D & & 7D and bought a RX 100 M3 and am delighted with it. I have large hands but am able to access the controls with relative ease. The flash looks a little fragile but I rarely use it . The pop up viewfinder certainly useful on bright days. Picture quality excellent especially in good light situations I have been using the RX a lot - an ideal pocket camera

The RX100 III is a great camera ! The RX10 is better ! The A6000 is better yet with the right lens.
I have a Nikon D300, 2 F-3s, F-5, F-6 with many mis. Nikkor lenses. My favorite camera is the Sony A6000 with the Sony 35mm 1.8 lens which I use 90% of the time. I zoom with my feet. My wife has the Sony RX100 II which she loves and which I advised her to get after reading the reviews on this website.

Sony makes a small case that has a belt loop built in, I can carry the M2, charger cord, and extra memory cards and extra battery. This case is very small and compact. I walk around, see a shot, remove the camera, take the shot, back in the belt case, walk on. Could not be easier, B&H and Amazon has them for about $10.00. And, the case says SONY on it, how cool is that.
