I am looking for a versatile canon lens (close-ups, wide angle, distance, landscape, portrait). I have heard that 24 x 70 and 35 x 105 are good options. Recommendations?
Guess the lower aperture number the higher the price...
The lens for which you are looking is an EF 50mm (add whatever aperture info you desire). 50mm's are what used to come on cameras and that was what was used for almost everything. Many great photographers lived by the 50mm lens. Today's zooms led to an entirely different way of shooting. Once you learn how to shoot a 50mm, everything else will seem simple. By the way, there is no lens such as you describe. Technology hasn't gotten that far yet.
