Image quality seems to be top notch.
I've been considering the Sigma 150-600 Sport as well as the Tamron 150-600. I think I might rent both to test the waters before I pull the trigger.

Those images are awesome !

Thanks for looking and the compliment parsons1. I don't know about the Tamron but for the Sigma you will want to use a sturdy tripod. This lens is big, long and heavy.

I finally got my Sigma 150-600 last week. On Friday I took a drive to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park to test it out. My initial impression after one outing is mixed. On the plus side the image quality is good. On the negative side , the lens had to hunt for focus to often, even at max aperture.
As for the two lions in the photos, their 14 month old litter mates Ken and Dixie.

Wow I love the lions (pics)😃
Well done and it is always nice to spare a moment to talk to passers-by
Had I been there I would just be dying just to talk

Very nice! The Sigma did a fine job as did the operator! Been looking at the 150-600 as an upgrade to my Sigma 150-500mm. Bob

Beautiful cats and beautiful photos. I guess if you have a hairy face and eat raw meat without eating utensils, you will have a fly problem..... :D
