Can anyone suggest a reliable company to purchase a Nikon D7100 from. I just had a bad experience buying one from getitdigital. I bought a new one and they sent me a used one. I can highly recommend B&H video. They are great people to deal with. The reps know their products and you get free shipping. I bought my camera from them and have purchased several other products. I believe you will love them as much as I do. And once you see how many other folks on this site recommend them you will understand why you should call them.

B+H. Bought my A7mk2 from them. Unless you're dead set on Nikon or D3300 check out the Sony a6000. For roughly the same money way more camera.

B&H and Adorama come highly rated by most everyone. I've also found good deals with Profeel.com. Get real....if an outfit is advertising the same camera for $500 less than anyone else, do you smell a rat? Yep...a big one. Buy from legitimate sellers who are authorized dealers for whatever brand camera you want. Check the BBB and Resellerratings.com to get an idea of what kind of company you are considering. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Otherwise you will find bait and switch; used sold as new, no or foreign-only guarantees and in some cases they will just take your money and not give it back unless you sue them (at your expense).

If you stick with B&H, Adorama, and others who advertise here, you won't go wrong.

Banner advertisements are not selected by the site owner but are rotated - and often directed based on information stored within your web browser in the form of keywords from what you are reading or have recently read and "cookies". A post here about "shooting" pictures will very often turn up with advertisements for Glock handguns, for example. This page on my browser is now showing ads for B&H and Adorama - simply because they are keywords that are showing up often on this thread of conversation.

Other ads will be based on recent searches you have made online.

But stick with the stores that treat their customers well - they deserve the good word-of-mouth that they get here.

I would recommend any one of the big 3, A B or C(Adorama, B&H, and Cameta). I have purchased Nikon products, both new and used, from all of them. Their prices are competitive, and their customer service is excellent. You will not be sorry if you stick with them. They are the best!

B&H and Adorama are reliable and fast, have competitive prices, and both have people who monitor this UHH forum to learn if anybody is having problems with them, then offer to resolve the problem for you. I've used both with no qualms or fears of any kind and they always come through.

B&H (where I bought mine, even though I would have gotten a 10% discount from Nikon for working there it was less expensive to buy from B&H because I didn't have to pay tax or shipping as I would have had to pay buying from Nikon. Adorama, Cameta or Amazon and Fry's are some of the major players... You can also buy direct from Nikon but their pricing will not be as competitive. Walmart (Mail order) also.
Here is a list of Nikon authorized dealers. NOTE: NID is a Nikon Imaging Dealer and NPD is a NIkon Professional Dealer... the difference is that an NID will primarily have point and shoot and not as much expertise at SLR but may carry it. NPD will have expertise at the entire line and should be able to support after the sale.

Thanks to all who recommended Adorama Camera.

We take customer care very seriously - but even the best run ships can run aground from time to time :(

So as many of you know, I'm right here, and available by email: Helen@adorama.com doing my best to ensure that all your purchasing experiences from Adorama Camera are smooth and trouble-free :)

The top 4 mentioned above, Adorama, BH, Cameta and KEH. I also like Roberts. Amazon is very good as long as its from Amazon ONLY, not a side vendor.

ebay is tricky, sometimes Adorama and Roberts sell there with free shipping.

I've had my best online experience with 42nd Street Photo. They were fast and professional, caught an error in my order and chased me down on the phone to help me correct it, and shipped same day. Also great prices. Incidentally, my purchase was a D7100, with which I am VERY happy.
