It has proven to be an unmitigated disaster since I did so two weeks ago. Power Point has stopped working properly in the midst of lecture prep. This after two weeks of working though not quite as fast.

Yosemite = You're dead meat.

Not sure what happened with yours but I run Yosemite 10.10.2 with absolutely no problems. Since I purchased my Mac Book Pro to replace a Windows 8 laptop, I've not had 1 minutes worth a problems. MAC Book Pro considerable more pricey over the Win 8 computer yes but absolutely no aggravation since I made the switch. Not sure the age of your computer, processor, ram, etc. But I don't think it is the OS. Sorry that you upset with it.

I don't believe it, problems with a MAC, there was me, thinking they were perfect.

Go PCs and Win8.1!

Why go with Win 8.1 when you can soon get 10.0 for free and then do all their debugging for the next year or two??? Just like always but now you don't have to pay for the privilege.

Oh no! What if My mac had a problem!! Gawd what would I do?

Maybe should I run out and buy a windows computer right this second just in case my mac has a problem. Because, I have heard nothing but good things about windows 8 from my windows buddies.

Oh I forgot. I could just call Apple Support and they would help me resolve the issue. Their service is excellent. :)

Wait I can RUN windows on my Mac!! So I don't need a pc to run Windows and PC programs.

Whew. I thought I as going to have to by a PC for a minute.
